Irma Cry Foundation Fund


The Irma Cry Education Foundation will honor the legacy of Irma Cry by raising funds to offer scholarships to individuals seeking vocational/industry-based certifications or associate degrees. Reaching Community Need with:

* The development of competent workforce for sustained economic growth is a critical challenge facing our community.

* The Irma Cry Education Foundation can contribute significantly to increasing the education and skill of a community workforce by being a resource for those adults desiring to earn vocational industry-based certifications or associate college degrees.

* Be helping individuals gain access to decent work and sustainable jobs, scholarship recipients can positively impact the community through employment and social inclusion.


* Multiple $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually  * Offered to St. Tammany Parish residents interested in vocational/industry based certifications or associate college degrees  * Competitive scholarship application process

* Recipients in good standing may re-apply the following semester

About Irma Cry

Irma Cry is a resident of Slidell, Louisiana. She is a visionary leader, public servant and tireless volunteer. Irma Cry has dedicated her life to growing community leaders, empowering others and working to foster positive change within her community. She is the founder of Leadership Northshore, a professional development program for emerging community leaders. She has served as an elected official, appointed official, in private business and assisted numerous nonprofit agencies.
