The mission of the Pirate Party Fund is to raise awareness of local nonprofit organizations that support those impacted by cancer while celebrating great costuming, great fun, and great causes.

History:
What began as a birthday celebration has evolved into a swashbuckling fundraiser benefitting cancer patients, survivors, and first mates. Hosted and organized annually by Covington’s official Pirate Oncologist, Dr. Jay Saux, the Pirate Party helps raise awareness and donations for a select nonprofit every year.

The upcoming event is January 13, 2024 at the Tap Room in Covington and the recipient is Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, which strives to provide access to cancer treatments, screenings, and resources across the Gulf South. Grab yer favorite bandana, yer trusty eye patch, and come celebrate an amazing cause or else walk the plank! Yo ho me hearties, yo ho!
