Coronavirus Updates

  • SBA to Stop Accepting Restaurant Revitalization Fund Applications – The SBA has announced that it will stop accepting applications for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) on Monday, May 24. There has been high demand for the $28.6 billion program, with more than 300,000 applicants representing nearly $70 billion in requested funds. Since the SBA has set-aside funding for food establishments with 2019 annual revenue of $50,000 or less, it is keeping the application portal open until Monday. As of this week, more than $220 million of the $500 million set aside for these smaller establishments remained available. You can read more here.

  • Child Tax Credit Payments Timeline – Earlier this week, it was announced that families who are eligible to receive the child tax credit payment will begin receiving their monthly payment July 15. The child tax credit will provide families with monthly payments of $300 per child five years old and younger, and $250 per child for children ages 6 – 17. Families can expect the payment to arrive on the 15th of each month. The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 expands the Child Tax Credit (CTC) for tax year 2021 only.
